Shipping Clerk

Job Summary

The Shipping Clerk coordinates shipments, manages documentation, and ensures timely deliveries through effective communication with carriers and internal teams.

Primary Duties

• Receive and process customer orders for shipment, including printing necessary documents and planning according to order priority.
• Verify product availability, coordinate with inventory systems, and meticulously prepare items for packing to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
• Coordinate with and update the customer service team on shipment status and promptly address any order changes or inquiries.
• Package and label products as necessary to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Navigate shipping processing systems and
• applications, utilizing scanners to efficiently process and manage shipments.
• Work closely with the outbound team to palletize and prepare larger orders for shipment, ensuring they are securely packed and labeled according to shipping requirements.
• Keep workstation tidy and organized, regularly restocking supplies and maintaining dispensers to ensure continuous operational efficiency.
• Ensure that proper paperwork and labels are kept with respective orders and not mixed up.

Qualifications

Working Conditions : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to touch, grasp, handle and feel items. Noise level is usually moderate. Warehouse temperature may reach up to 90 degrees during the Summer months.

Education / Experience

Previous experience in shipping, packaging, logistics, warehouse operations is preferred.
