The CRE Credit Manager II, within the Commercial Real Estate segment, coordinates with Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers to prepare and approve underwriting packages for renewals, extensions, and modifications of existing loans for assigned regions as well as completion of covenant testing and annual reviews. Duties and responsibilities include managing maturities by working with Relationship Managers early in the process and underwriting and approving renewals, extensions, and modifications. Completes and submits annual review packages for existing loans. Prepares and approves covenant testing. Analyzes, reviews and structures loan requests using sound real estate underwriting fundamentals and standards. Works directly with sales and risk personnel in generating loan approval documents that help ensure and maintain the quality of the Bank's real estate loan portfolio. Prepares written evaluation of borrowers' financial condition and future outlook, as well as identifies strengths and risks associated with our relationship sponsors and guarantors. Responsible for third-party report engagements and / or follow-up (ie : appraisals / environmental reports, property condition reports, etc). Responsible for the collection, review, and maintenance of due diligence & customer information on renewals, modifications, and extensions of existing loans. May require occasional overnight travel to other regions. May be required to attend and successfully complete Huntington's Credit College, a multi-week program in Columbus, Ohio. Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic qualifications include a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or related field and 8+ years commercial and / or commercial real estate credit underwriting in a banking environment required. Preferred qualifications include formal commercial credit training, strong / proficient use of Microsoft Office and internet resources, excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and demeanor, required, strong organizational skills with attention to detail, planning, and follow-up required, demonstrates confidence, assertiveness, professionalism, ability to interact with all levels of the organization, and ability to sell Huntington and its products / services. Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and narrative information quickly and thoroughly, excellence in customer service, highly motivated, focused and goal oriented, ability to work independently on multiple tasks without compromising quality.
