[job_card.job_description]Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital Patient ratios are 1 : 3 Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 19 : 00–07 : 30 Will float within the hospital and may float to affiliate hospitals nearby Orientation consists of 36 hours Epic EMR is used; Epic experience is required 4x12 hour shifts may be allowed upon request Responsible for caring for laboring and post-partum patients, including monitoring mother and fetus, assisting with deliveries, and post-partum recovery care Travelers are required to float between all facilities within the state as needed Traveler must be willing to work two out of three major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year Scrub color for L&D is provided by the hospital Return staff policy requires a three-month gap before returning as a traveler Requested time off must be included with application for consideration Active CA RN license in hand Minimum of 2 years recent labor and delivery and post-partum experience required Current certifications required : ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate AWHONN Advanced certification is preferred Must provide a minimum of two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years in a comparable specialty or setting Pending license not accepted First-time travelers not accepted Must adhere to a 50 mile radius rule for eligibility High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
