Job Title :   Quality Assurance Technician

ROLE SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for conducting visual scans on products in effort to assure quality and safety of products intended for consumers. QA Techs will be responsible for tracking the weight of each sample and keeping track of what cultivar is currently being worked on. Additionally, QA Techs will be required to safely handle and separate any adulterated product that is found during scans.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct visual inspections of cannabis for organic and inorganic adulterants and defects.
• Document inspection results by completing reports and logs and inputting data into quality database.
• Keep equipment (i.e. scales, tools, etc) in good, working order.
• Interacts and reports to / with the Quality Manager / Supervisor in creation and revisions of SOP's (standard operating procedures) as changes and additions require.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs), adhering to cGMP SOPs, and complying with legal regulations
• Maintains and ensures that proper PPE is utilized and changed out regularly, or as needed
• Analyze spoilage, record causes, and take corrective actions where applicable.
• Monitors processes and reports all problems to supervision through interaction and required paperwork.
• Advise management and coach fellow co-workers on matters regarding quality issues.
• Follows all SOP requirements and intercedes or challenges proper personnel when defects are present in cultivation.
• Notify supervisor of any incidences of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken and of any poor-quality material or supplies noted.
• Keeps the area safe, clean, and organized.
• Performing other duties as requested

A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
