Infant/Toddler Teacher

Rainbow Kids Learning Center is searching for nurturing Infant and Toddler teachers to ensure that the basic and educational needs of our students are met. As a teacher, you must prepare and deliver classroom activities, communicate with staff and parents, and ensure that the learning environment remains safe at all times. You are also expected to be an excellent role model for our students.

To be successful as a teacher at Rainbow Kids, you should be creative, and energetic, have a good work ethic, be flexible, and be able to encourage self-expression. Top candidates will thoroughly understand the contextual factors that shape early childhood development.
Teacher Responsibilities:

• Planning and delivering lessons designed to facilitate students' social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Encouraging self-expression through understanding, flexibility, and behavioral reinforcement.
• Tending to students' basic needs by feeding and dressing them with assistance when needed.
• Mediating conflict between students.
• Modeling appropriate behaviors, even when not on duty.
• Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning at all times.
• Liaising with families to gain insight into students' home lives.
• Tracking and informing parents of students' progress.
• Attending parent/teacher conferences, monthly mandatory staff meetings, and at our family engagement events.

Teacher Requirements:

• MA EEC Teaching Certification is a MUST and a degree in Early Childhood Ed. would be preferred.
• Clear criminal record.
• Prior experience working with young children, preferably within a similar setting.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Warm, approachable disposition.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work during evenings and on weekends, as required.
• The ability to work between 7:30 AM and 5 PM Monday - Friday is a MUST working either 7:30-4:30, 8-5:00, or 10-5:00.
