Firearms Sales Associate

The purpose of a Firearms Sales Associate is to provide exceptional customer service and expertise in firearms and related accessories. Your in-depth knowledge of firearms regulations, safety practices, and product features will contribute to a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities include :

  • Greeting customers with a warm and friendly demeanor
  • Engaging customers to understand their specific needs
  • Providing expert guidance and product recommendations
  • Ensuring compliance with firearms laws and regulations
  • Assisting customers in selecting ammunition and accessories
  • Maintaining an organized firearms display
  • Processing transactions accurately
  • Staying updated on firearm trends
  • Addressing customer concerns promptly
  • Establishing long-term customer relationships
  • Demonstrating product features and benefits
  • Utilizing upselling and cross-selling techniques
  • Promoting exclusive offers and loyalty programs
  • Contributing to visual merchandising efforts
  • Participating in cross-training and learning initiatives
  • Demonstrating behaviors that exemplify Rural King's values

Essential qualities for success include :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in firearms sales or related field
  • Knowledge of firearms laws and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in using computer systems for transaction processing
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment

    • Physical requirements include :

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 30 pounds repetitively and 31-50 pounds intermittently
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Close visual awareness
  • Ability to use a ladder and / or pallet jack
