Job Title : Tooling Operator

Position Summary :
We are seeking a hands-on, mechanically inclined Tooling Operator to join our 1st shift team in the tooling shop. This role combines light machining, basic assembly, and shop support duties to assist in the fabrication and repair of custom parts used in our production operations. It’s ideal for someone with trade school experience or familiarity with manual machine tools and mechanical prints.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate as part of the tooling shop team, supporting fabrication of custom fixtures, racks, and tooling components for the assembly floor.
- Use manual machining equipment (e.g., manual mill, manual lathe) and other power tools to assist in part fabrication.
- Read and interpret mechanical prints to accurately produce or modify parts.
- Assemble fabricated components as needed to support production or maintenance requirements.
- Assist in re-machining and modifying parts for the maintenance department when machinery repairs are needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop area.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to specification.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in a shop environment or light machining role.Familiarity with manual mills, lathes, or other traditional machine tools.Ability to read and interpret mechanical / technical drawings.Basic assembly experience, preferably in a manufacturing or tooling setting.Trade school certification or vocational training in machining or a related field is a plus.Working knowledge of CAD software is a plus, though not required.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Additional Information :
