3. Project Manager (PM)

Purpose in Project

Oversees all project phases - from discovery through go-live - ensuring timely delivery communication risk management and milestone compliance .

RFP Alignment

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • 5 years managing complex web or digital projects.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams (design dev content QA).
  • Familiarity with large content migration workflows.

CDOT requires milestone-based deliverables and strict acceptance cycles.

Agile & Hybrid Methodology

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred.
  • Experience running Agile sprints with milestone tracking and retrospectives.

    • CDOT values iterative collaboration and visibility during project execution.

    Stakeholder Communication

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Prepares weekly status reports meeting notes and change control logs.
  • Manages expectations with Knowledge Services and CDOT teams.

    • Required under Milestone submission and acceptance criteria.

    Risk & Issue Management

  • Identifies risks early and creates mitigation strategies.
  • Documents scope changes and obtains written approvals.

    • Aligns with CDOTs Change Order Requirements policy.

    Technical Awareness

  • Understands Core CMS platforms and integration principles.
  • Can translate business needs into technical deliverables.

    • Ensures consistent handoff between business goals and technical outcomes.

    Training & Handover Coordination

  • Plans and schedules content manager and analytics training sessions.
  • Ensures delivery of written materials and post-launch support documentation.

    • Matches Milestones 13 & 14 (staff training deliverables).
