Overview

The Safety Care and Nurturing Clinic (SCAN), part of the Division of Child Adversity and Resilience, provides trauma informed care to children and adolescents along with the families involved in the allegations of abuse and neglect. The Scan Clinic has open access and accepts referrals from all sources including physician offices, individuals, and families. Medical Assistants in the SCAN Clinic provide basic, uncomplicated patient care and assist with unit / department operations under direct supervision of a physician, APRN, PA, or RN. Assignment of job responsibilities are delegated by the medical provider, RN, Charge Nurse.

Diagnoses Seen Are :

• Child maltreatment
• Nutritional neglect
• Physical abuse
• Sexual abuse
• Suspected child abuse or neglect

Procedures and Treatments Performed Include :

Medical Assistants provide basic, uncomplicated patient care and assist with unit / department operations under direct supervision of a physician, APRN, PA, or RN. Assignment of job responsibilities are delegated by the medical provider, RN, Charge Nurse.

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $19.68 / hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
