Field Engineer

About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled Field Engineer with 3+ years of hands-on construction experience to support a major infrastructure project in the Central Valley. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic field environments and is ready to take the next step in their civil construction career.

Key Responsibilities :

Track, review, and manage Change Orders , Owner Payment Applications , and related documentation

Assist with project cost control , labor tracking, and quantity reporting

Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in planning and execution activities

Participate in project closeout processes , ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate

Conduct field quantity take-offs and contribute to material tracking

Investigate and recommend solutions for quality control issues in the field

Coordinate third-party contractors and support material procurement efforts

Update schedules and monitor on-site construction progress

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering , Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Management , or a related field

3+ years of field experience on civil infrastructure or heavy construction projects, Foundation Concrete and Drilled Shafts preferred

Strong understanding of construction workflows, documentation, and project controls

Proficient with field coordination, contract administration, and schedule tracking

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
