Network Engineer

We are seeking an OT Network Engineer to assist with deployment, support, and remediation of Purdue Layers 2-4 infrastructure in refinery and pipeline environments. This is a hands-on role focused on executing network changes, working with legacy switching environments, and maintaining segmentation between industrial zones. The position includes travel and occasional after-hours support.

• Key Responsibilities :
• Execute network changes and infrastructure tasks tied to refinery and pipeline projects.
• Support rack-and-stack activities, cable routing, port patching, and documentation in active OT environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 switches (VLANs, trunking, STP loop prevention).
• Apply firewall rule changes and interface updates on FortiGate or similar OT firewalls.
• Maintain accurate diagrams, port maps, IP allocations, and interface assignments.
• Respond to outages or critical escalations as part of on-call rotation.
• Travel up to 20% to other sites.
• Required Qualifications :
• 5+ years supporting OT or ICS networks in high-reliability industrial environments.
• Proficiency with Layer 2 switching (Cisco), VLANs, trunk ports, EtherChannel, STP.
• Familiarity with Purdue Model architecture (Layers 2-4).
• Experience with Cisco switches and FortiGate firewalls.
• Understanding of industrial safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Preferred :
• Experience in industrial IT settings (refineries, manufacturing, utilities).
• Familiarity with SCADA / PLC systems and industrial cybersecurity frameworks.

This is a Contract position based out of Tacoma, WA.

• Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00 / hr.
