Informatica Developer

Languages : SQL, Unix ShellTools : Informatica PowerCenter Databases : Oracle, SQL Server, and Teradata. Big Data : Cloudera Hadoop, Hive Dev Methodologies : Agile, Waterfall Others : Toad, SVN, Control-M, Dollar Universe or Autosys -7+ years of development experience in delivering ETL / database / programming solution. -5+ years of hands-on experience with / designing / development of informatica applications. -Read and translate logical data models and use ETL skills to load the physical layer, based on an understanding of timing of data loads, data transformation and optimization of ETL load performance. -Collaborates with development teams and business units to identify, define, develop and implement new data source feeds. -Work in a global team setting to design, develop and support ETL architecture for data integration, data warehouse, and data Marts for the organization. -Ability to create Mappings, Workflows, Sessions, Reusable components, Parameters and Variable using Informatica. -Responsible for loading and validating data into the data warehouse -Conduct unit testing and coordinate with quality assurance teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of ETL processes. -Coordinate with infrastructure teams to ensure adequate capacity and performance planning. -Provides support for technical issues and ensuring system availability. -Create and support the associated scheduling logic for the ETL using CA Autosys scheduler. -Responsible for timely project deliveries -Document ETL packages and processes deployment and support instructions. -Provides guidance to more junior staff. -Ability to think and communicate critically in order to support and facilitate strategic data warehouse extension and analytical initiatives. -Expert knowledge of data modeling concepts, data warehouse and data aggregation processes and strategies -Good knowledge on UNIX scripting -Able to write complex relational Oracle / SQL server queries to help with data validation. -Working experience in tools like TOAD, SVN, for day-to-day activities is recommended. -Keep abreast of Informatica best practices and new features to continuously improve development processes.
