Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor Overnight Shift | Full-Time

Advanced Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, located in New Haven, CT is actively hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor for the overnight shift, for our Skilled Nursing Facility. We are seeking an experienced RN to oversee all aspects of a unit/floor, from supervising nursing staff to monitoring patient care. Extensive clinical experience a must, prior administrative experience and training in both nursing and administration.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all nursing services personnel are following their respective job descriptions
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by monitoring confidential information processing
• Provides information to patients and health care team by answering questions and requests
• Completes patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staff; following up on work results
• Perform walking rounds to ensure nursing staff are providing the highest level of resident care possible
• Assesses residents upon admission and periodically as conditions change
• Obtains and implements Physician Orders, checking for accuracy and completeness
• Communicates between shifts regarding changes in resident/patient conditions
• Participate in Facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator or Director of Nursing Services
• Plans, implements and evaluates the clinical competencies and on-going educational/orientation needs of the staff
• Ensure that a sufficient number of nursing staff is available for each shift to ensure that quality care is maintained

Qualifications:

• Must have current CT RN license
• Experience in Long Term Care is a plus
• Must have supervisory experience
• Must have excellent leadership and communication skills
