BGM is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Outsourced Controller to support our clients with high-level accounting services. In this role, you'll manage a variety of complex accounting tasks, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and provide valuable insight to improve internal processes. This position requires strong multitasking abilities and the capability to manage multiple client relationships and projects simultaneously. In this position you'll work with a collaborative team that values accuracy, innovation, and client success. Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Oversee and conduct outsourced accounting functions including transaction entry, invoicing, payments, reconciliations, journal entries, and month- / year-end close processes.
• Perform controller-level services such as financial review, budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis.
• Recommend improvements to clients' internal accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Prepare and review trial balances, financial statements, and client reports.
• Collaborate with the tax department to support timely tax preparation and compliance.
• Manage client onboarding, engagement letters, and file / workflow setup.
• Ensure timely Secretary of State renewals and 1099 filings.
• Communicate accounting processes and findings clearly to clients.
• Identify risks or issues and suggest practical solutions.
• Assess and improve client business practices.
