Reports to : Processing Manager

Job Location : Wichita, KS, USA

Schedule : Monday-Friday; 2 : 00pm-10 : 30pm; occasional OT may be required

Rate : $28.00 - $33.00 / hr.; dependent upon experience; Shift Differential in addition to hourly rate.

Experience : 3-5 years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing / processing environment, with at least 1-3 years in a supervisory role.

Job Description

Processing Production Shift Supervisor : Specializing in knowledge of NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), Chemline (chemical processes and finishing), Paint Processes & Final Inspection.

Responsibilities :

• Working Shift Supervisor that will oversee the daily operations of their assigned shift that is focused on these specialized areas to ensure efficient production, high-quality output, and strict adherence to safety and quality compliance standards.
• Leadership : Direct, motivate, and mentor employees and fostering a collaborative team environment. Encourage communication and ensure adherence to all company policies, (safety, quality, conduct, attendance, etc..)
• Meet Production Goals : Take directives from Processing Manager to ensure the prioritization of work assignments. Monitor production progress, identify and address bottlenecks, and coordinate with incoming shift Lead to ensure deadlines are met. Regular and routine communication with Processing Manager is essential.
• Safety and Compliance : Ensure a safe work environment by following and enforcing safety protocols and promoting a strong safety culture within the team. Maintaining and clean and organized work area; following CAYG and FOD practices.
• Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement : Identify areas for improvement and troubleshoot production issues.
• Reporting and Communication : Communicate effectively with management and team members, and other departments as necessary or required.

The essential duties job may require the ability to stoop; to reach; to stand, and to walk for extended periods of time; to push and / or pull objects weighing up to 30 pounds; to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; to use finger dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment and hand strength to grasp files and other objects; to perceive the attributes of objects by touch; to hear and verbally exchange ideas and information with the staff and others inn a production area. Frequently being on foot, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climb stairs and kneeling and / or crouch to retrieve items. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate small power tools and other equipment. Writing to complete reports and service requests. Occasionally lifting and carrying (with assistance) items weighing 75-150 lbs. Must be able to wear safety PPE equipment, as required. Noise levels may require hearing protection.
