Position Details :
Self-scheduled shifts available with four-week advanced notice for better work-life balance.Collaborative culture with respect among surgical team members.Continuous equipment investment to enhance patient safety and workflow efficiency.Engagement with leadership for input on patient care improvements.On-call duties required during select off-business hours.Key Responsibilities :
Evaluate patients thoroughly pre-surgery.Educate patients and families about procedures and peri-operative care.Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative medications.Participate diligently in surgical site verification protocols.Respond effectively to patient emergencies.Provide exceptional, evidence-based patient care while initiating improvement initiatives.Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals in delivering patient-centric care.Document patient conditions accurately and consistently.Qualifications :
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 90 days of hiring.Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of hiring.A graduate from an accredited nursing program (diploma, associate's, or bachelor's).A minimum of six months of clinical nursing experience is required.A valid Registered Nurse License in Texas or a Multi-State Compact License (Texas RN License must be obtained within 60 days if hired under a Compact License).Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant is nationally recognized for its outstanding transplant programs, including kidney, liver, and pancreas surgeries.
