About the position

Our summer internship program allows you to get to know more about the electrical construction industry and the procurement side of our business before beginning your career after graduation. As an intern, you will work closely with the Procurement Director to gain exposure to sourcing materials, procurement and supply chain management. You will also learn how to establish a strong customer service approach to supporting project management and field teams in the electrical construction industry.

Day in the life

• Assist in establishing purchasing goals and the preparation of procurement documents and agreements for materials needed on projects
• Support evaluations of vendor proposals
• Prepare purchasing documents and enter information into the procurement system
• Participate in project startup meetings and provide input regarding material management
• Develop exemplary client and supplier relationships and conduct high quality business development activities on a regular basis
• Utilize LEAN concepts with a focus on continuous improvement

Minimum Qualifications

• Must currently be enrolled in a degree program in business, supply chain or other related disciplines
• Strong collaboration and demonstrated high level of integrity and dependability
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Outstanding interpersonal and team leadership skills.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Pay Range

• $26.00 or $28.00 per hour, based on college/grade level.
