MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Management Analyst

This is a T32 excepted service, permanent position. The primary purpose of the Management Analyst, GS-0343-10, is to provide information and analyses to all levels of management using the assessments to answer the why, how, when, and where questions. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.

California National Guard membership is required : This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Priority areas of consideration : Priority consideration is first given to the areas below :

• Current California National Guard employees who are serving on a permanent / indefinite / temporary appointment.
• Current California National Guard members.

Military Grades : E-3 through E-6

Recruitment / Relocation Incentive is not authorized. PCS relocation costs may be authorized subject to provisions of the Joint Travel Regulation, funding, and an agency determination that a permanent change of station (PCS) move is in the Government's best interest. Must maintain appropriate level of security clearance. Must wear appropriate military uniform including required grooming standards. Must maintain a compatible military unit, grade, and job assignment as required by current directives. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.

Qualifications :

General experience : Possess experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical, or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes, and principles of management; Knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques; Experience using computer and automation systems.

Management Analyst, GS-0343-10 : Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-09 level, in : the application of practices, theories, techniques, and methods of management; Experience analyzing, interpreting, and developing policies and procedures of local management.
