Certified Healthcare Security Officer

Job Summary (List Format) :

• Operate and monitor security systems including access control, alarm, weapons detection, incident reporting, and CCTV.
• Utilize basic office software (Microsoft Office, Outlook) for communication and documentation.
• Perform entry screening at fixed posts and patrol assigned buildings and parking areas, on foot or in a vehicle.
• Enforce all security and safety policies and procedures.
• Respond promptly and calmly to calls, emergencies, and incidents, including those involving negative or threatening behavior.
• Complete written reports and maintain daily activity logs on security incidents.
• Screen all individuals entering facilities, check ID badges, and ensure proper visitor registration and badge display.
• Escort unauthorized persons from the property and provide security escorts for employees, patients, and visitors as needed.
• Screen for weapons or prohibited items using handheld or walkthrough detection devices; secure and document any items found.
• Assist clinical teams during patient restraint events, including holding limbs during application of restraint devices or medical procedures.
• Intervene in verbal and physical conflicts to ensure safety.
• Respond immediately to emergency situations, fire alarms (as Fire Brigade member), and participate in emergency preparedness events.
• Assist with campus parking issues, document illegally parked vehicles, and coordinate with supervisors and parking team members as necessary.
• Provide support during helicopter landings and any additional emergency situations.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work all shifts, wear a respirator, and pass respiratory FIT testing.
• Ability to operate a company vehicle and be insurable under company policies.
