Maintenance Technician
- Food Manufacturer (Baked goods)
- King of Prussia, PA
- $34-38 an hour
- Availability on 2nd shift (2pm-12am) or 3rd shift (10pm-8am) Mon-Fri
- Guaranteed 10 hours of overtime pay a week!
The ideal candidate will be a skilled Maintenance Technician responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment, consistent with established safety rules, manufacturer recommendations, and bakery PM / lubrication programs. It is crucial for this role to have worked in a fast-paced high stress environment. This position requires a multi-skilled person to perform all phases of maintenance within the organization.
General Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician :
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and other plant equipment.Provide emergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.Perform routine and emergency repairs of production and facility equipment during scheduled and unscheduled downtime periods.Utilize a variety of mechanical and electrical skills, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting to repair production machines.Possess the mechanical and electrical skills needed to troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment, and their control systems.Possess working knowledge of PLC and PC-based control systems . Experienced in installation, troubleshooting, and repair of these systems, including the use of associated test equipment.Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, drawings, and schematics to perform required maintenance and service.Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.Skilled in using shop and hand tools, meters, welding and plumbing, and machine tools to fabricate, rebuild, strengthen, and maintain various parts and pieces of production and facility equipment.Comply with safety regulations, including Lockout Tag Out process and procedures , and maintain clean and orderly work areas.Maintains work records, preventive maintenance records, and computer-directed preventative maintenance records as required.Required Skills and Qualifications :
High school diploma / GED or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.4+ years of manufacturing experience ; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with strong PLC experience.Must have strong PLC troubleshooting and Diagnostics experienceRequires ability to troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including : PLC control systems, VFD drive systems, motor controls, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.Convey Belt and Tracking Knowledge is required.Must be Computer literate and experienced in use of MS Office Suite.Welding, Tig, Mig or Stick welding and brazing capabilities a plus.Knowledge of Bulk Pneumatic Systems a plus.A self-starter who requires little to no supervision.Ability to work a flexible schedule.This job is commutable from : Conshohocken, Norristown, Ardmore, Wayne, Phoenixville, Royersford, Bryn Mawr, and Ambler.
