Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provides job coaching and training to clients assigned to the janitorial WAT programCoaches clients in both hard and soft skills to help them work towards a professional appearance and conduct. Assists clients in learning soft skills needed for successful employment :Stress management
Time managementAnger managementCommunication skillsOrganizational skillsAttention to DetailInstructs clients in the technical skills needed for excellent janitorial work including but not limited to knowledge on what should be cleaned and how it should be cleanedFollows DKA safety and emergency procedures and all OSHA safety requirements including completion of monthly inspection logKeeps track of janitorial inventory for the building in which you are stationed and communicates worksite needs to direct managerCompleted the daily cleaning needs for client in the event of a client absence to ensure work is still completedCompletes all necessary reports and paperwork in a timely manner including progress notes, monthly reports, time sheets and incident reportsMaintains strict confidentiality of clients' and customers' records in accordance with HIPAA, DRM, and Federal Copyright Regulations.Communicates any needs for company-provided resources or benefits, including ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, unmet equipment requests, and benefit updates or changes (IRA, vision / dental, Colonial Life, or health insurance) to direct manager or CFO (Ada)Accurately logs hours in designated payroll system (Isolved) and informs direct manager of any tardiness or needs for PTOOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications :
A minimum of one year's experience providing care for people with disabilitiesExperience working with various computer software and applicationsMust be able to gain finger-print clearance within 90 days of hireMust be able to pass drug screen and background checkAbility to write daily progress notes outlining the clients' daily work and steps toward achieving their goals.High School diploma or GEDCPR / First AidCurrent with Relias AssignmentsAccess to reliable transportationPhysical Requirements :
Prolonged periods of walking, standing, or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times due to the needs of the janitorial worksite including transporting supplies, trash cans, buckets of water for mopping, etc...Exertion Level :
This job is deemed MEDIUM duty work, as defined by the Social Security Administration, Code of Federal Regulations, § 404.1567, Physical exertion requirements : (c) Medium work . Medium work involves lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. If someone can do medium work, we determine that he or she can also do sedentary and light work.
