Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Traub Machine Operator to join our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and inspecting Traub CNC machines to produce complex aerospace components with exceptional precision and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machine setup requirements
Configure Traub CNC machines according to specifications, including tool selection, workpiece positioning, and program loadingPerform necessary adjustments and calibrations to ensure optimal machine performanceVerify machine settings and conduct test runs to confirm accuracy before beginning productionMachine Operation :Operate Traub CNC machines to manufacture aerospace components according to specifications
Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiencyPerform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating moving parts and replacing worn toolsTroubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues to minimize downtimeMaintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiencyQuality Inspection :Conduct in-process and final inspections of manufactured components using precision measuring instruments
Verify dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and overall quality of produced partsDocument inspection results and maintain detailed records of quality control activitiesIdentify and report any deviations from specifications or quality standardsCollaborate with quality assurance personnel to address and resolve quality issuesContinuous Improvement :Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality
Suggest and implement improvements to machine setup, operation, and inspection proceduresStay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in CNC machiningAttend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledgeSafety and Compliance :Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) as requiredReport any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors promptlyComply with aerospace industry standards and regulations
