• Job Summary
• Summary Responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance with established procedures, infection control standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. No Essential Functions Processes specialty and general instruments. Resets instrument sets accurately and without error. Decontaminates instruments and equipment according to established procedures. Maintains Central Sterile Department stock levels. Prepares and assembles surgical trays and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing. Communicates instrument repair needs to the supervisor.
• Qualifications
• Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required No Licenses and Credentials Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) preferred Experience related experience 1-2 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of case cart assembly. - Familiarity with the regulatory standards of materials management. - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
