MOLD MAKER TECHNICIAN Level 5 – COLUMBUS, OH

• High School education or GED

• Proven mechanical aptitude with understanding of dimensional mathematics

• Able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively

• 8 years mold making and troubleshooting experience

• Proficient in CAD/CAM

• Must be cooperative and work well in a team environment

• Valid driver’s License

• Forklift certification

• Proficient in operation of complex machine tools

• Able to stand for long periods of time

• Must communicate proficiently in English (verbally and written)

• Proficient in programming and operation of tool room equipment.

• Complete complex repair, design change or new build. Evaluate, plan and complete all aspects of the job with no assistance. This plan may involve the outsourcing of some tasks, but the plan must be directed by the technician in a timely manner.

• Proficient in use of 2-D CAM software.

• Lead projects from start to finish with ability to direct and mature supporting staff.

• Design and fabricate jigs, fixtures and gauges.

• Represent the department by behaving in a positive manner that will enhance the success of the company, ISO procedures and Safety program.

• Other tasks as assigned by management, including training of associates, supervision, and working unscheduled hours.

• Show initiative with ability to move company goals forward without direction

• Perform complex repairs with the aid of hand tools and machine tools

• Skilled interpretation of mold and manifold prints

• Provide leadership to subordinate associates when necessary

• Prioritize and perform multiple tasks

• Proactive attitude towards achieving company goals regardless to shift or situation

• Perform all assigned duties without supervision

• Make complex components from print

• Represent the department by behaving in a positive manner

• Support safety and ISO programs
