Maintenance Technician, HVAC – Requesting two(2) technicians.
Temporary : Start date of December 1, 2025 - through February 27, 2026, with a possibility of extending through end of March
1st shift : Monday through Friday 7 : 00am through 3 : 30pm with a 30-minute lunch. Hours may adjust as-needed. 40 hours per week.
$25 - $30 / hr
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- HVAC Technician Certification or EPA Type II Certification.
- Must have valid Texas driver’s license.
Essential Job Functions :
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance and general maintenance and installation of HVAC systems, as well as miscellaneous repairs to equipment and devices.Assist other HVAC staff with the performance of their duties as needed.Keeps shop and mechanical areas neat and clean.Drives vehicle for purpose of transporting equipment.Records daily maintenance activities log and produces periodic reports.Assists in annual inventory of maintenance department.Actively follows college, state, and federal guidelines regarding safety.Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to understand and follow and issue directions given orally and in writing and must be able to read and understand blueprints.Capable of safely operating powered equipment, such as : saws, drills, and sanders, brush hog, tractor and be able to determine which equipment to use for a particular purpose.Picking, holding, or otherwise working, primarily with the whole hand.Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and / or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.Ability to perform labor intensive work associated with facilities maintenance.Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discrimination in sound.Working Schedule and Conditions
Gas and electric powered tools and equipment typical in the HVAC industry, including but not limited to air conditioning and heating systems, vacuum devices, saws, drills, and vehicles.Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position.Work is performed inside and outdoors.Exposure to normal atmospheric conditions, dirt, dust, weather variables, etc.Potential risks exist due to handling power tools, equipment, and chemicals.Position involves intensive physical labor associated with maintenance work and requires safety precautions at all times.
