Home Health Aide (HHA)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and repositioning as needed
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping related to patient care
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse or care coordinator
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
• Follow individualized care plans and agency policies
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment for patients
• Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Valid Indiana HHA or CNA certification (required)
• Positive attitude and compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Prior home health experience preferred
• Reliable transportation and valid car insurance
• Physical examination within the last six (6) months
• Current TB skin test
• Ability to pass a background check
• Must pass a drug screen upon offer of employment
