[job_card.job_description]Completion of a residency training program in psychiatry and two years of post-residency experience as a psychiatrist in a psychiatric facility required. M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school. Licensure as a physician in Nevada or willing to attain Licensure. DEA - Prescribe controlled substances - XDEA not required Possession of a valid state driver s license may be required. Required Skills / Abilities Knowledge of general medicine and psychiatry; current developments in the field of psychiatry; hospital and clinic organization, management, and procedures. Ability to skillfully diagnose and treat severely and persistently mentally ill patients. Ability to analyze situations and adopt an effective course of action. Ability to prepare records and reports. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality. Job description
MDM Search and our Regional Mental Healthcare partner are seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to join our Nevada practice in a Regional Director role providing comprehensive behavioral health services to adults and geriatrics in a variety of clinical settings and managing administrative responsibilities in a 60% / 40% time split.
As a leading provider of behavioral health services, we are seeking skilled professionals of the highest caliber that share our commitment to provide state-of-the-art psychiatric services.
Service areas incorporate Las Vegas, Henderson, Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and Rural Nevada.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Conducts psychiatric examinations.
- Makes diagnoses and prescribes therapy.
- Administers and interprets projective tests.
- Participates in staff conferences and recommends appropriate treatment approaches.
- Assists in developing and organizing a program of clinic treatment.
- Directs case conferences. Serves as a consultant to other clinic staff.
- Confers with patients regarding illness and treatment.
- Assists through consultation in establishing psychiatric programs and policies.
- Keeps medical records and prepares psychiatric reports.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
