Job Id: 249 # of Openings: 1 The Shipping and Receiving specialist will report to the GM and work closely with production departments to prepare printing jobs for shipment and receive shipments. The ideal candidate for this position has the ability to multitask, work with accuracy and a sense of urgency, and has an interest in digital printing. Specific training in our job tracking software will be provided, along with specific training on our forklift. Prior experience operating a forklift is a plus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to move pallets of material, interact with equipment as needed, navigate safely through a production environment, operate, handle, or use objects, tools or controls, communicate and discern to exchange information and identify safety hazards. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, and/or up to 50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly, with the assistance of others and material handling equipment. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and distance vision.

Additional Qualifications:
Have basic familiarity with Mac or PC
Have experience operating pallet jacks and forklifts
Be comfortable using a spreadsheet to retrieve and enter information about jobs
Have experience in the print industry
Have experience with FedEx and UPS
Specific responsibilities include:
Operate forklift (on site training provided)
Receive incoming shipments, including delivering items to relevant departments and entering Packing Lists into a tracking system.
Prepare shipments for delivery, including for FedEx Express, Ground, Freight, Messenger.
Maintain organized packout area and runway for incoming/outgoing shipments
Empty and manage large waste bins throughout the production area
Cleaning duties, including sweeping the production area, the forklift runway and parking area, and assistance cleaning the office areas as needed.
Light maintenance tasks such as changing furnace filters.
Inventory of packing supplies.
Communicate as needed with FedEx/UPS.
Deliver packages to FedEx/UPS or USPS as needed
Assist in fulfillment/distribution projects
Retain samples from outgoing shipments and maintain in a retrievable system.
Help with print production as needed. Valid Illinois Driver’s License
Work Environment:
This job generally operates in a production environment where he/she may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration and moderate to loud noise level. This role routinely uses a forklift and other equipment such as pallet jacks. The employee will handle general purpose cleaning products and chemicals used in printing, such as isopropyl alcohol.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time hourly position with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, on site. Overtime on evenings and weekends may be required depending upon business necessity.
