We are seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer to join our team in Dallas, TX, to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Job Overview :
The Process Engineer will meet with production managers to assess existing processes. Drafting process ideas to reduce costs and improve production rates. Performing risk assessments. Designing and testing process upgrades and new process systems. Ensuring processes comply with safety and quality standards. The position requires a strong practical knowledge of the manufacturing industry on how it impacts safety, quality, cost, productivity, the process, and our customer(s). Teamwork and leading fellow employees is essential and something the position is required to do.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING :
- Provide technical support and guidance ensuring process maximization.
- Reduce process variation.
- Provide input and assistance for tooling enhancement.
- Provide input and assistance for equipment upgrades.
- Process development, control systems enhancement, and standardization of controls
- Operational safety oversight
- Process Parameter Management
- Lead, Operator, and Setup Training for extrusion within department(s)
- Crisis process / breakdown resolution (participate in all hands on) activities.
- Lead and manage applicable projects.
- Run samples requiring expertise beyond Sample or standard Operator capabilities.
- Coordinate with maintenance department for the repair and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and tooling to ensure they are performing safely and correctly, while achieving optimal up-time and efficiencies.
- Interact closely with operations, engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance personnel to identify issues and implement appropriate solutions.
- Support efforts and projects under the HPC umbrella
- Back-up – supporting PLC, Control’s and electronics in other departments.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.Strong knowledge of industrial equipment and manufacturing processes.Experience with programming logic controllers and CNC operations is preferred.5+ years experience in manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is a plus.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable.Job Type : Full-time
