We are hiring a dependable and skilled Generator Mechanic / Service Technician to join our growing team. This field-based role is ideal for candidates with mechanical and electrical repair experienceparticularly with small engines, standby generators, or automatic transfer switches (ATS).

Key Responsibilities :

  • Travel to residential job sites using a company-provided service vehicle
  • Perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and repairs on whole-home standby generators
  • Troubleshoot and service mechanical and electrical components, including ATS systems
  • Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Clearly communicate with customers regarding services performed and any recommendations
  • Accurately document all work in our service management software
  • Follow safety protocols and industry best practices when working around electricity
  • Support emergency service calls during weather-related outages or storms, as needed

    • Qualifications :

  • 1+ years of experience in generator service, small engine repair, or related mechanical / electrical work
  • Strong customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals
  • Comfortable working independently in the field with minimal supervision
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
  • Physically able to perform job duties, including climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working in outdoor environments
  • Familiarity with residential generator systems and ATS technology is a plus

    • Position Details :

  • Schedule : Monday to Friday, 7 : 30 AM 4 : 30 PM (occasional flexibility required for emergencies)
  • Job Type : Full-time
  • Compensation : Based on experience and skill level
  • Travel : Local / regional service calls using a company-provided vehicle
