Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. This position is based in Pomona, California, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to key accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable, reconciliations, and general ledger management, as well as experience with corporate tax and sales tax processes.

Responsibilities :

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist in training team members on accounts payable processes and best practices.
• Perform regular account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
• Support corporate tax and sales tax preparation and filing.
• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure proper accounting records.
• Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect accurate financial data.
• Collaborate with the accounting team on special projects and additional tasks as needed.
• Provide support in analyzing and resolving discrepancies in financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles.
• Proficiency in managing accounts payable processes.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax and sales tax regulations.
• Experience with preparing corporate tax returns and journal entries.
• Solid understanding of general ledger management and account reconciliations.
• Ability to train and support team members effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.
