Surgical PreAdmit Registered Nurse

Position Overview :

We are seeking a dedicated Surgical PreAdmit Registered Nurse who is skilled in both routine and complex care within surgical settings. The ideal candidate will be capable of independently managing patient situations with a focus on long-term care plans and will continuously develop their nursing competencies.

Key Responsibilities :

• Demonstrate accountability through the OneCHRISTUS Competencies : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provide exceptional nursing care that aligns with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, encompassing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families according to your level of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments consistently following protocols, and monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Accurately document patient histories, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided.
• Assess patient and caregiver educational needs and deliver relevant guidance to ensure comprehensive understanding.
