Job Description and Duties

Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit R04, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by three percent and will receive five PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. Part-time employees are subject to the same conditions as full-time employees, on a prorated basis equivalent to their time-base. Permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same condition as full-time employees, based on the number of hours worked in the pay period.

Under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager II, the Seasonal Clerk (SC) performs general clerical duties associated with the acquisitions program. The SC will support and promote a positive work environment and productive relationships with all staff and stakeholders of the California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) in an ethical and professional manner.

This position is located in the Acquisition Management Section, Business Services. This program provides the oversight and delivery of the goods and services California Correctional Health Care Services requires for daily functions, including statewide acquisitions of non-IT health care (medical, mental health, and dental) goods and support services, strategic acquisitions, enterprise-wide asset management and contract management services.

Located less than 30 minutes from Sacramento and Lodi, the progressive city of Elk Grove offers a great mix of newly developed housing, business projects, and recreational opportunities.
