Specifically, the qualified individual shall have expertise in performing operational data analysis, identify trends and metrics of interest to the organization and translate them into intuitive business and / or technical dashboards. The individual will work under the guidance of OGE leadership and liaison with various IT Service Delivery infrastructure and application support teams. / ppThis individual should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently to develop observability solutions that enhance decision-making and system performance. / ph3Job Duties / Responsibilities / h3ulliDevelop, design, and optimize Splunk dashboards to visualize key business and technical metrics. / liliAnalyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that can provide actionable insights. / liliCollaborate with application support personnel and other technical teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective visualizations. / liliWork with various cross-functional teams, including Cybersecurity on data ingestion and maintenance activities. / liliImplement best practices for dashboard performance, scalability, and usability. / liliWork with logs, metrics, and traces to improve system observability. / liliAutomate data collection and dashboard updates for real-time monitoring. / liliCreate configurations to alert personnel of operationally relevant observability events. / liliProvide recommendations for improving observability practices across the organization. / liliDocument processes, configurations, and best practices related to Splunk and observability solutions. / li / ulh3Minimum Requirements / h3ulliBachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience. / li / ulullistrongIT Specialist Sr : / strong 4+ years of relevant experience in observability, data analysis, or related roles. / lilistrongIT Consultant : / strong 6+ years of relevant experience in observability, data analysis, or related roles. / li / ululliHands-on experience with Splunk and dashboard development. / li / ulh3Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required of the Position / h3ulliStrong expertise in Splunk dashboard development, including SPL (Search Processing Language). / liliProven ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and create meaningful visualizations. / liliExperience working with both business and technical stakeholders to define metrics and KPIs. / liliSolid understanding of observability concepts, including logging, metrics, and tracing. / liliAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. / liliStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. / liliKnowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.) is a plus. / liliExperience with cloud-based observability tools (e.g., Datadog, New Relic, Grafana) is a plus. / li / ulh3Any Certificates, Licenses, etc. Required of the Position / h3pTechnology certifications are a plus. / p / div
