This role involves providing essential respiratory care to patients as per physician orders and departmental policies. You will work independently in various acute and critical care settings, collaborate with physicians and other healthcare personnel, and make informed recommendations regarding patient treatment. Candidates must be capable of treating patients of all ages, ranging from infants to the elderly.

This position does not involve management duties and will report to a supervisor or manager.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program or eligible for licensure in South Carolina, or be senior students graduating in the next three months.
Required Certifications / Registrations / Licenses
Must be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in South Carolina or be eligible for such licensure. BLS certification is required, and NBRC credentials must be maintained. Employees hired before June 2016 may hold a Certified Respiratory Therapist designation. From June 2016 onwards, candidates must achieve a passing score on the Therapist Multiple Choice Exam and the Clinical Simulation Exam within six months of graduation. Failure to pass the clinical simulation exam during this period will lead to termination.
NRP and PALS certifications are required before independently working in NICU and PICU.
Essential Skills and Experience
Team collaboration, strong communication, organizational, and computer skills are crucial for this role.
