Sr. Project Manager

Pratt & Whitney Hot Section Engineering (HSE) is looking for an experienced Sr. Project Manager to lead a team of Project engineers supporting the F135 Base & ECU Diffuser / Combustor Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT). This position requires proven leadership, excellent communication skills, CAM experience, strategic thinking, and well-rounded project engineering skills. In this role, the candidate will be required to work onsite. This is a technical supervisory position where the candidate will lead the Project team both technically and administratively, while participating as the Project lead on the CIPT.

Responsibilities Include :

• Manage a team of five to eight project engineers. The team includes a mix of direct reports located in West Palm Beach, FL in addition to indirect project engineers located at other P&W sites and outsource companies.
• Talent development and mentorship of the project team
• Develop staffing plans and strategies, including outsourcing Statements of Work (SOWs)
• Chair product reviews, including documentation of meeting minutes, assigning action items, and reviewing actions item closures
• Lead a team to manage budgets and ensure schedule milestones are achieved
• Active and engaged participant in the F135 and ECU Diffuser / Combustor CIPT
• Prepare and present at CIPT, SIPT, and various Executive reviews
• Ensure strong communication and alignment with both internal and external customers
• 5% domestic travel required

Qualifications You Must Have :

Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)

10 years of experience in engineering or aerospace with a bachelor's degree, or 7 years with an advanced degree

Prior IPT leadership experience

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer :

Combustor and Diffuser Case knowledge / experience

5+ years of prior team leadership and experience in program planning / budgeting / tracking

3+ years of experience / knowledge of SAP, CCB / PCIR process, EVMS, and Primavera

Military CAM / budget experience

Experience with the Agile toolset

Experience delivering and validating development hardware

Active US Government Security Clearance

Proven ability to organize and execute multiple tasks

Demonstrated effectiveness in working across functions, organizations, and all levels of management

Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills

Hot Section Engineering is responsible for the design, development, technology maturation and in service support of all diffuser cases, combustors, turbines (vanes, blades, rotors and cases), augmenters (military), nozzles and associated fuel systems for all military, commercial and industrial engine models and radial auxiliary power units.

Technical disciplines in HSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Durability and Product Definition.

Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
