As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed professional with Allied Universal in a commercial real estate setting, you will actively monitor and patrol the property to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you engage with tenants, guests, and staff, delivering outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so you will use your valid driver's license to conduct patrols throughout the location.   • What You'll Do :
  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following company and site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols to management and / or law enforcement as required.
  • Assist visitors, tenants, and staff by answering questions and providing directions within the location as needed.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and property management to address security-related concerns and support a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Complete detailed and accurate written reports of daily activities, incidents, and any other relevant occurrences during their shift.
  • Minimum Requirements :
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
