Lead Account Manager
Shift MondayFriday, 8-hour shifts within operating hours (7 : 00 AM 6 : 00 PM), with flexibility to meet client needs. After 90-days, this position may be eligible for hybrid opportunities which will be determined and agreed upon by the Team Member and Manager.
As a Lead Account Manager, you will not only manage client accounts but also provide leadership and guidance to the Account Management team. In addition to serving as a trusted advisor to clients, this role carries responsibility for coaching, mentoring, and developing Account Managers, ensuring alignment with company goals and driving overall team performance. This position requires strong leadership abilities, inside sales experience, proven people management experience, and the ability to balance customer satisfaction with operational and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary relationship manager for new, high-value and strategic accounts.
Support and guide Account Managers in building long-term client relationships that drive revenue and loyalty.
Leadership & Team Development
Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and mentoring to Account Managers.
Facilitate training on consultative selling, client communication, and industry standards.
Monitor team performance and provide feedback, ensuring goals and expectations are met.
Assist with workload distribution, prioritization, and problem resolution.
Strategic Growth & Revenue Impact
Identify and pursue opportunities to expand business with key accounts.
Support Account Managers in uncovering opportunities.
Partner with leadership to set account management goals and implement strategies for growth.
Project & Process Oversight
Oversee client projects at a strategic level, ensuring alignment with timelines, quality, and profitability targets.
Collaborate with internal teams and resolve escalated customer issues.
Recommend and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and client satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement & Leadership Contribution
Gather and analyze client and team feedback to propose solutions.
Participate in leadership meetings, offering insight into client trends and operational improvements.
Model the company's core values and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
Position Requirements
Education : Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field strongly preferred.
Experience :
3+ years of people management experience, including coaching and performance management.
3+ years in customer service, account management, or sales.
Experience in the signage, construction, or manufacturing industry is a plus.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate.
Proven ability to exercise independent judgment in decision-making.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, email and Adobe Acrobat. Vector based graphic software experience is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and consultative skills with the ability to influence client decisions.
Comfortable with verbal communication, including regular phone interaction with customers.
Solid understanding of the English language, including grammar, spelling, composition, and word usage.
