Description
JOB STATEMENT : The Inventory Coordinator II oversees and assists in completion of inventory-related system transactions within the Distribution Center. They help in the development and employee usage of warehouse best practices and procedures. An Inventory Coordinator II is constantly resolving inventory issues from within the organization, using simple to advanced system queries and custom-built reports to trace inventory discrepancies back to their origin, then offer solutions or policy changes to deter or prevent future instances.
Essential Duties :
- Understand and comply with all ISO 9001, HACCP and GMP requirements and processes
- Verify within ERP system (IFS) that Customer Orders and Shipments are picked and / or delivered accurately and in a timely manner
- Provide rapid assistance to warehouse staff in order to keep end users productive
- Perform daily audits / cycle counts on physical inventory
- Periodically assist in shipment, route, and receiving audits
- Verify all compliance and accounting documentation is in proper form
- Provide support to warehouse employees through the entirety of their shift.
- Run weekly and monthly reports for both management and ownership, if required
- Support supervision in development of reports that will enable the warehouse staff in decision making for product placement, and space forecasting
- Simultaneously work within, and maintain multiple systems, databases, and interfaces, and do so accurately and efficiently
- Occasionally adjust Customer Orders, in the absence of Customer Service (swing / grave shifts)
- Enforces first in / first out rules (FIFO) when concerning movement of inventory from within the warehouse
- Assist supervision / management in writing standard operating procedures relative to their day to day duties
- Navigate and execute helpdesk software, creating tickets for tasks not submitted through proper channels
- Use multiple methods of communications in order to provide a high caliper support network to all areas of the organization
- Participate in pre-shift meetings in order to provide feedback and address ongoing issues, with the intent to make inventory operations more efficient and accurate
- Assist in training new staff members on their areas of responsibilities
- Act as liaison between the warehouse and customer service
- Other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager
