EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE A candidate for this position must have experience in the electrical / electronic field with either an associate degree in electronics or computer science area or 2-3 years of experience in instrumentation and process controls or automation, PLC or DCS industry. The candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, working knowledge of mechanical systems, understanding of electrical / electronic theory, an ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineered specifications, strong Microsoft personal computer skills, and a working knowledge of Ethernet networks.
Primary Duties :
- Works diligently to complete work correctly the first time.
- Use engineered plans and specifications to provide equipment automatization and system design.
- Work in a Team environment to create complete process automation / control solutions.
- Implement, Setup, maintain, repair, calibrates and overhaul instrumentation and / or electronic hardware to achieve all process control strategies.
- Troubleshoot installed systems, controls, and related control elements (electronic, pneumatic, mechanical).
- Commission and test related equipment for efficient performance, recognize, and correct potential instrument failures.
- Interface directly with operators to identify and resolve process control and automation issues.
- Interface directly with operators to identify improvements in process control strategies or automation systems or equipment.
- Understand blueprints, P&ID’s, Electrical Diagrams, operating instructions and proceed accordingly.
- Set up and wire up Control Panels that include PLCs and all electric / electronic components.
- Responsible for predictive and preventive maintenance of all phases of the plant automated equipment, process control systems and all their instrumentation.
- Improving the reliability of plant equipment in various assigned areas.
- Knowledge of different technologies in measurement instrumentation for Temperature, Level, Flow, Pressure, Density, Ph, Conductivity, Position, Displacement, etc.
- As well as final control elements like proportional valves, Solenoids, Actuators, etc.
- Assist in the Planning process by identifying parts and work required using AMMS to enter notifications.
- Participate in the Breakdown Elimination process to reduce the frequency of breakdowns and improve equipment reliability.
- Follow Maintenance Standard Procedures and seek to improve machinery specific procedures where possible.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
- The ideal candidate is proficient in industrial control and SCADA systems.
- Experience with Studio 5000 Logix Designer and Allend Bradley PLCs; TIA Portal and Siemens PLC’s, but not limited to those and use or knowledge of Ignition, Wonderware, or any other SCADA platform.
Seasonal Requirements :
During our harvesting / packaging season (July- October) our facilities operate 24 / 7.Must be able to work any shift, up to 7 days a week during the harvesting / packaging season.Overtime may be required up to 12 hours daily during our harvesting / packaging season.Pay and Benefits :
