Description :

PST is seeking an Application Developer with 10 years of technical and strategic experience of increasing responsibility providing software engineering planning design analysis and developing com-plex software models and applications across multiple hardware and software platforms. Demonstrates ability to work independently based on the strategic plan or under general direction. Must be able to effectively employ contemporary project management tools and serves as team consultant.

Responsibilities :

• Serves as the principal technical expert on complex and challenging information technology projects.
• Works independentlyon tasks of various technical tasksorworkas part of a team of Software Engineers with responsibility for design and development of computer software applications and / or database systems evaluation of computer hardware and software planning for communications and in-formation requirements system test and system security.
• Provides consulting during early planning and conceptual stages of large complex projects.
• Participates in any phase of major projects from problem definition through problem resolution and from feasibility analysis through project implementation.
• Frequently supports several tasks concurrently and evaluates problems of workflow organization and planning and develops appropriate corrective actions and prepares and performs presentations at technical interchange meetings and project design reviews.
• Reports orally and in writing to the Program Manager Project Manager contractor management and government representatives.
• Designs develops enhances debugs and implements software. Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications.
• Research tests build and coordinate the conversion and / or integration of new products based on client requirements. Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
• Addresses problems of systems integration compatibility and multiple platforms.
• Serves as the technical expert on complex and challenging information technology projects.
• Assesses business impact of specific technologies / strategies.
• Document and present design alternatives and recommend solutions and alternatives.
• Interviews users and consults with support personnel to identify and document software deficiencies.
• Experience working on the design and implementation of multiple systems using a variety of technologies.
• Demonstrates the ability to manage and organize tasks in such a way as to deliver quality products and meet critical deadlines.
• Assist in implementing Federally mandated policies procedures and other directives to assist in meeting agency compliance requirements.
• Experience in providing guidance related to the enhancement of automated systems to incorporate new policies procedures and directives.
• Experience gathering and providing evidence for continuous monitoring.
• Write / update code to ensure 508 compliancy.
• Performs peer reviews and unit testing.
• Creates and / or updates technical documentation affected by development changes.
• Providesinput for estimates ofsoftware change requests.
