The Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS will report to a Director of Laboratory Services with strong Pathologist support and will lead a skilled team of Clinical Laboratory Scientists, MLTs, and Phlebotomists across Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Microbiology, and Transfusion Services. The Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS will drive competency, scheduling, validations, QC/QA, and readiness for CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, AABB, and CDPH inspections, while partnering with friendly nurses and a diverse interprofessional team in the ED, ICU, OR, Oncology, and Women's Services. The Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS will collaborate closely with IT, Supply Chain, and Biomed, mentor new team members, optimize point-of-care programs, and lead performance improvement initiatives that elevate patient-centered laboratory medicine.
