Machine Operator II
Temp to hire full-time position in Kansas City, MO. Shift : MondayFriday, 6 : 30 AM 2 : 30 PM. Pay range : $21.00 $29.00 per hour.
Job summary : We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator II to support daily production operations. This role is responsible for operating production equipment, assisting with setup and cleanup, monitoring product quality, and recommending process improvements. The ideal candidate has experience operating high-speed manufacturing equipment and thrives in a team-based, production-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment to achieve high levels of productivity and quality
- Monitor product during runs to ensure quality standards are met; make adjustments as needed
- Reduce waste by following established quality and production standards
- Maintain efficiency and accurately record production output throughout the shift
- Perform machine setup using proper techniques
- Ensure all cutting die bolts are properly installed and secured
- Inspect board quality (loose liner, warp, dimensions, caliper, and other defects) and report issues
- Clean equipment and work areas at the end of production runs
- Submit maintenance and equipment work orders for needed repairs
- Assist in training new team members
- Work collaboratively with crew members on assigned projects
- Support adherence to production schedules and recommend improvements
- Learn and assist in other positions as needed
- Complete required reports accurately and on time (production, safety, quality, machine status)
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance
Qualifications
Minimum requirements :
High school diploma or GED2+ years of demonstrated experience operating high-speed manufacturing equipmentAbility to work in a manual labor environmentPreferred qualifications :
Prior experience in a corrugated manufacturing facility2+ years of expert-level experience operating equipment such as McKinley, HYCORR, Apstar, Marmatsu, Latitude, J&L, Tanabe, EM, A+, Banders / Unitizers, Zund, Euclid, Winders (Eberle, Design, Phoenix), Die Cutters, Slitters, Tape Machines, Load Turners, Rewinders, and related equipmentTo apply, visit us in person between walk-in hours : 9am-11am or 1pm-3 : 30pm Monday-Friday at LSI Staffing, 1625 Swift St, North Kansas City, MO 64116.
