American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float position requiring ICU and Med Surg experience and a MI RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Float between ICU and Med Surg units within a hospital setting
  • Covers critical care units including TCU, CSU, MICU, NCCU and various med-surg units as staffing requires
  • Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30
  • Patient ratios are 4-6 : 1 for Med Surg and 2-3 : 1 for ICU
  • Every other weekend required
  • First two weeks required for orientation
  • Floating occurs based on staffing needs between med-surg and critical care units
  • Only one holiday request off is allowed during the contract, choosing either the holiday or the adjacent day / evening, not both
  • Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
  • Must be comfortable with variable assignment of patient ratios in both unit types

  • Active Michigan RN license
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience
  • Experience with both ICU and Med Surg settings required
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Open to first-time travelers
