Scholars Unlimited is a non-profit organization that provides high-quality, comprehensive after school and summer learning programs to elementary school children in metro Denver. Currently, our programs are offered in Denver, Aurora, Sheridan, and Westminster public schools.

The Development Coordinator will manage and maintain Scholars Unlimited's fundraising operations, ensuring smooth processes, accurate reporting, and effective donor stewardship. This role supports leadership and the Board of Directors in coordinating development activities, tracking donor engagement, and maintaining systems that enable the organization's fundraising efforts to run efficiently.
Essential Functions
Development Operations & Systems :
- Assess, design, and implement overall development operations and systems strategy
- Manage data systems integration and management pertaining to development
- Manage reporting systems for all fundraising activities, including internal and external reporting
- Prepare internal reporting, measuring fundraising pace and progress toward goals for each section of the overall campaign plan
- Prepare external reporting for funders and the Board of Directors
- Manage support systems for development efforts, including donor services (acknowledgement, recognition, and stewardship)
Donor & Portfolio Management :
Manage overall donor (current and potential) pipeline and portfolio, including tracking and review processSupport the CEO and senior leadership in major gift portfolio stewardship and engagementPrepare funder dossiers for the CEO, senior leadership, and Board membersCollaborate with CEO, senior leadership, and Board members to identify donors with interest and capacity for significant giftsConduct prospect research, including donor profile development and tracking new funder prospectsSteward the Legacy Society (legacy and endowment) with clear strategies and tacticsImplement initiatives to boost participation among donors under $1,000 with a focus on acquiring new monthly recurring donorsFundraising Planning & Coordination
Create and manage the fiscal year calendarCoordinate annual development planning process for each discrete fundraising activity (annual fundraising events, end-of-year campaigns, etc.)Research funding opportunities for programming and general operating dollarsCoordinate marketing and communications related to development; assist senior leadership with messaging and contentEvents & Grant Management :
Plan and execute event logistics, design, and executionManage and track grants to ensure accurate administration and reportingOther Duties :

Education
Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred.Experience :
At least 3-5 years of professional experience in development, fundraising operations, donor relations, or related nonprofit roles.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
