LPN Contract Position in Local Area

• Immediate Start Date: ASAP
• Shift Times Available: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm; 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm; 10:00 pm - 6:00 am
• Contract Duration: 6 Months
• Requirements: Valid LVN license in the state of Texas
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years providing care for individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Hourly Rate: $35 per hour

As a Behavioral Health Nurse, you will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients with mental health disorders and substance abuse issues. In this role, you will assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote the overall well-being of individuals in your care.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in psychiatric nursing, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care. A deep understanding of mental health conditions and the ability to handle crisis situations with professionalism and empathy are essential for success in this role.

• Assess patients' mental health status and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects
• Provide therapeutic interventions and support to patients and their families
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
• Document patient progress and participate in treatment team meetings
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options
