We are seeking a Policy Correspondence & Editorial Specialist to support Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) policy operations within a dynamic and mission-focused environment.
Position Overview
The Policy Correspondence & Editorial Specialist plays a key role in supporting FAA air traffic policy operations. This position manages the Policy Correspondence Mailbox, oversees end-to-end workflow for policy documents, and leads editorial review activities. The Specialist ensures the accurate and timely processing of policy changes, memos, Letters of Agreement (LOAs), interpretations, and other technical or administrative documents. This role also maintains document controls within the FAA's Knowledge Services Network (KSN) SharePoint system, collaborating closely with internal teams, FAA stakeholders, and external partners to ensure compliance, quality, and consistency in policy publication.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of the Policy Correspondence Mailbox, routing, tracking, and managing policy packages through the FAA's policy change lifecycle.
- Assign and oversee workload for the Editorial Review Team; conduct editorial and technical reviews of FAA air traffic policy documents.
- Create, update, and maintain authoritative document controls and records in KSN SharePoint.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to FAA personnel, editors, contractors, and SMEs on policy processes, documentation standards, and editorial requirements.
- Serve as a professional point of contact for FAA stakeholders, federal partners, and the public through official correspondence channels.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, including SOP updates, workflow optimization, and audit support.
- Provide director-level administrative or editorial assistance as needed.
Required Experience
5+ years in policy administration, technical writing, editorial review, document management, or federal program support.Experience with SharePoint and Oxygen XML preferred, especially in government or FAA policy environments.Prior direct experience working with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is required.Education

U.S. Citizen or individual with a valid U.S. Work Visa who has lived in the U.S. for at least 3+ years.Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer-facing skills; able to interpret and translate customer requirements into actionable tasks.Ability to manage a high volume of work, prioritize effectively, and work both independently and collaboratively.Ability to sit, stand, talk, hear, and operate a computer for extended periods; occasional light lifting up to 10 lbs may be required.Must successfully complete a Government background investigation.The hiring range for this position is $80K - $90K / year based on relevant experience and position requirements as determined by the customer parameters.Benefits
