Job Description

Job Description

Description : CEO INTRODUCTION

At EAM, Eastern Aero Marine, Inc. dba EAM Worldwide, engineering is a critical function at the core of our business. The products we design, and manufacture are safety-critical, highly regulated, and trusted by leading aviation OEMs and airline operators worldwide.

We are seeking an Engineering Manager who values disciplined engineering, takes ownership of outcomes, and wants to play a visible role in shaping both products and people. This is an opportunity to influence how aviation survival equipment is designed, certified, and manufactured — and to leave a lasting engineering footprint in a specialized and respected sector of the aviation industry.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading all engineering activities related to new product development, product modifications, manufacturing support, and continuous improvement. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with people, project, and process management in an FAA-regulated manufacturing environment.

WHY THIS ROLE IS HARD — AND WHY IT IS WORTH IT

This role is well suited for an engineering leader who is energized by building, refining, and elevating an engineering organization, and who enjoys making a visible, lasting impact.

You will be operating in a demanding, FAA-regulated aviation environment where engineering decisions carry real weight — with regulators, OEMs, airline customers, and manufacturing leadership. Success requires sound judgment, technical depth, and the ability to balance innovation with certification, cost, and production realities.

You will be expected to lead, not just manage. That includes recommending and implementing new technologies, machinery, automation, and process improvements, while guiding a team of engineers through complex, safety-critical work.

In return, this role offers something rare. You will have meaningful influence — over products, processes, and people. You’ll work with a motivated engineering team, mentor and develop junior engineers, and partner closely with a highly experienced Director of Engineering. You’ll interact directly with top-tier global OEMs and airlines, gaining exposure and credibility beyond the company. For the right person, this is a chance to build a reputation, leave a visible engineering legacy, and see your designs move from concept to certified product to real-world use. The satisfaction here is tangible — your work directly contributes to aviation safety on a global scale.
