What You'll Do as the Accounting Manager

Oversee accounting, budgeting, financial planning, grant reporting, and compliance.

Prepare financial statements, manage audits, and ensure accurate payroll processing.

Lead and mentor a team of three finance professionals.

Collaborate with leadership on strategic financial decisions.

What We're Looking For in an Accounting Manager

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

(CPA preferred).

Minimum

5+ years of accounting experience , ideally with some supervisory or team lead responsibilities.

Strong tenure in previous roles (2-3+ years per position).

Advanced Excel skills; experience with automated accounting systems.

Nonprofit or education background is a plus, but not required.

Details

Location :

Westminster, MD (on-site, 5 days / week - non-negotiable).

Salary :

Up to $130,000 (small bonuses possible).

Systems :

Blackbaud (accounting) and Paylocity (payroll) - experience helpful but not required.
