Express Employment Professionals - Akron is seeking skilled CNC Mill Operator to join our team. This role is ideal for candidates with strong machining / programming experience who are eager to contribute to a high-quality, safety-focused manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan machining by reviewing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and specifications
  • Program mills by entering instructions, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches
  • Apply math, geometry, and trigonometry to meet print specifications
  • Maintain dimensions and tolerances using precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers
  • Perform drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, milling, tapping, boring, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations
  • Monitor feed and speed of machines, adjusting as necessary to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production
  • Inspect finished items and provide feedback to management to prevent defects
  • Troubleshoot processes, detect malfunctions, and replace worn tools as needed

  • Eagerness to learn different part / machine setups and operations
  • Strong attendance record and commitment to teamwork
  • Demonstrated focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement

    • Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and use hands for handling materials
  • Occasionally required to sit
  • Must be able to lift / move up to 25 lbs
  • Work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise levels
